During Sunday's MTV European Music Awards, Miley Cyrus kept her bad girl image alive by lighting a joint on-stage after her acceptance award speech, and the morning after, tweeted her thoughts on creating more controversy and tabloid fuel.

"Sometimes in life you just gotta decide to not give AF," Cyrus tweeted, later writing, "Last night was a blurrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Thanks @katyperry for hosting," followed by, "So much fun last night! Amsterdam, you're the dopesssst, thank you for always being so good to me."

"No one was expecting it to happen," a source told US Weekly. "It was so brazen, so shameless. It was so uncalled for."

Marijuana is legally tolerated in Amsterdam, but that didn't stop MTV from censoring the U.S. version of Cyrus's speech when the EMAs were rebroadcast in the U.S., US Weekly reports. The 20-year-old star's outfits for the night were also called into question for being quite risque, as has become part of her new signature style.

While on the red carpet, Cyrus sported a backless mini-dress featuring pictures of deceased rappers Tupac and Biggie Smalls, similar to the one Christina Aguilera donned years ago during her "Stripped" days, and while giving her speech and skillfully lighting a joint, showed some skin in a tight, high-cut white leotard and furry white vest.

So far, it seems that making waves in the media has helped boost Cyrus's career, her latest album "Bangerz," her first project since leaving Disney's Hollywood Records, having debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. And although her latest pot-smoking scandal may barely be a scandal, similar stunts have helped keep her name circulating through the media.

Most recently, the star debuted two new promo videos for her upcoming "Bangerz" tour, featuring her friend Amazon Ashley and several of her little people dancers (Cyrus has been accused of using both black people and little people as performance props), for what's sure to be a tour full of antics that will continue to keep her name on the tips of everyone's tongues.
