Alan Taylor is getting ready to test actors for his future "Terminator" reboot, and sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that those vying for the role of Sarah Connor include Emilia Clarke, Brie Larson and possibly Margot Robbie.

In the original film directed by James Cameron, the young Sarah Connor, the future mother of John Connor who grows up to lead the human resistance against cyborgs, was played by Linda Hamilton. In a blast from the past, Arnold Schwarzenegger, will be back to play a Terminator robot.

The "Terminator" films began in 1984, and Schwarzenegger starred in all of them save for 2009’s "Terminator Salvation." The latest film in the franchise will be the fifth in the series, and currently has a July 1, 2015 release date.

Names of possible actors to test for the film began surfacing earlier this week, and testing is scheduled to begin next week. Sources claim that Garrett Hedlund ("Tron: Legacy") is a possible contender for the role of a young young Kyle Reese, the father of John Connor, and Taylor is reportedly interested in Tom Hardy for the role of John.

Taylor is known for his work directing HBO's hit series "Game of Thrones," and has worked with Emilia Clarke multiple times before. Brie Larson may also prove to be a strong contender, however, having starred in and receiving critical acclaim for her work in "Short Term 12," "The Spectacular Now, "21 Jump Street" and "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World."

As for Australian Margot Robbie, she not only played a major role in the now-cancelled NBC series "Pan-Am," but will be starring in Martin Scorsese's forthcoming "The Wolf of Wall Street" alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
