Brooke Mueller has reportedly agreed to have her twin boys with Charlie Sheen tested for Fetal Alcohol & Drug Syndrome. According to Radar Online, Mueller met with Denise Richards last week to have a meeting with Child Protective Services after Richards said she could no longer care for Bob and Max.

Richards has been taking care of the four-year-old twins for the past seven months but said due to their violent behavior she is giving up custody. She wrote a heartfelt letter describing their behavior and actions while they were living at her home and felt it was too much for her family.

The letter, obtained by Radar, prompted the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services to force Mueller to have her kids tested.

"The good news is that they will now be properly tested, and monitored," a source said. "It will be crucial that DCFS follows up and follows through with whatever the testing reveals. The boys' lives literally depend on it."

According to Radar, Mueller reportedly went to rehab twice while she was pregnant with Bob and Max for an alleged addiction to crystal meth. The source claims that she "did indeed also drink large amounts of alcohol while pregnant. This was on top of the drug use which included meth."

In the letter Richards said her young daughters were "strangled, kicked in the head and stomach, scratched a bit, slapped and punched in the face and head" by the twins. She also said they spat on her kids and the family dogs.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome can have severe effects on a person's behavior and social skills.

"Fetal Alcohol Syndrome refers to the whole range of effects that can happen to a person whose mother drank alcohol during pregnancy. These conditions can affect each person in different ways, and can range from mild to severe," the CDC writes. "A person with FASD might have abnormal facial features, low body weight, poor coordination, hyperactive behavior, difficulty paying attention, poor memory, learning disabilities and vision or hearing problems."

Mueller's brother, Scott, was granted temporary guardianship of the twins on Friday.
