The Miami Dolphins have made a ton of offseason moves since the end of the 2015 regular season, and after hiring their head coach, Adam Gase, and their general manager, Chris Grier, the organization will look to make some important personnel decisions. San Diego Chargers safety Eric Weddle is an unrestricted free agent this offseason and is almost certain to not return with the Chargers in 2016.

The Dolphins have plenty of moves to make this offseason, and they could look into Weddle, as he has interest in the organization, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. Weddle reportedly would welcome a Dolphins offer, but the star safety is expected to get a big pay day this offseason.

The 31-year-old safety was second on the team in tackles with 78 combined tackles this season and is clearly still an impact player on the field. The Dolphins have one of the most talented players at the position in the game in Reshad Jones, and many feel that the combination of the two would give Miami one of the strongest pass defenses in the NFL.

The Dolphins still have plenty to figure out this offseason, as defensive end Olivier Vernon is a free agent this offseason and has produced every year since being drafted in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Vernon had 7.5 sacks this season and 29 sacks since arriving in Miami. The Dolphins spent a ton of money on acquiring defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh last offseason, and it will be interesting to see if the Dolphins new front office makes a splash in free agency with a player like Weddle.
