The popular GPS-based geographical navigation application owned by Google has been updated to include several new features including Google's popular voice support. Waze for iOS users will allow voice search for addresses and places in 45 different languages. In addition, the updated version of the app has improved settings, enhanced iOS7 support and bug fixes for smooth functioning.

Waze is a GPS-based geographical navigation mobile application that allows drivers to share their navigation data with others. The app has more than 50 million users, all of whom can share their inputs on any issues on the road with other drivers. The navigation startup was acquired by Google in June this year for a whopping $966 million and Google's VP of Geo shared his views on integrating its search capabilities into the app in the future.

The update brings the Waze iPhone and iPad app to version 3.7.6.

The updates include improved settings with a new help section and better control over sound alerts. Waze has some minor bug fixes to ensure the app's seamless function. The latest update for the app is available under the App Store's Updates tab, while the app is available for free download on iTunes.

Google has been making several improvements to its app data base. The web giant integrated its voice search to iOS search app, allowing users to control their smartphones with simple voice commands. Google's efforts are towards building a phone independent of complicated navigations.
