Tuesday Jan. 12 marks the day where ABC Family will no longer ne known by that name, the network is now officially called Freeform. Network executives decided to rebrand the channel to better represent the target audience of "Becomers," those age 14 to 34 years old, who are experiencing the firsts in life, as HNGN previously reported.

"Becomers is a business term," Freeform president Tom Ascheim said, according to TV Insider. "Millennials are getting older... The most essential question that people are going through as they go from being young to old is who are they becoming? It's a life stage. It's not a generation."

Freeform will concentrate on doubling the networks original programing over the next four years but will still include popular ABC Family series like "The Fosters," "Young & Hungry," and "Baby Daddy." The premiere of the network on Tuesday will include the return of "Pretty Little Liars," as well as the all new show "Shadowhunters," which is based off the incredibly popular Young Adult book series "The Mortal Instruments" by Cassandra Clare.

The season 6B premiere of "Pretty Little Liars" will feature the show's first time jump of five years. The first half of season 6 ended with the series finally revealing who the show's main villain was. As it turned out, the character "A" turned out to be Ali's brother, Charles DiLaurentis. While the bad guy was discovered, there will be a new villain in the mix for season 6B, but fans should not forget about the evil and conniving "A."

The five year time jump will allow "Pretty Little Liars" to feel like an entirely new show. The liars Spencer Hastings, Aria Montgomery, Emily Fields, Hanna Marin and Alison DiLaurentis have all gone their separate ways and have no begun their careers. Emily went to Pepperdine University, Hanna went to New York City, Spencer left for college in Washington D.C. at Georgetown University, Aria went to study at Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia and Alison stayed behind in Rosewood, according to ABC News.

While the mystery of A might be in the girls past, the new season will introduce an "Uber bad."

"Who is this 'Uber Bad'? We find out fairly soon what this 'Uber Bad' wants, but we won't know who it is for a while," executive producer Marlene King told TVLine.

The rebranding of Freeform includes the premiere of the new network's first show called "Shadowhunters." The show is based off the incredibly popular Young Adult book series "The Mortal Instruments" by Cassandra Clare and already had a chance at big screen glory. The big screen adaption of the book series called "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" bombed at the box office in 2013, but Freeform thought it would make an excellent television series.

The show follows a teenage girl named Clary Fray who discovers the hidden world of demons and the ones who fight them called Shadowhunters, according to the Los Angeles Times. The series follows Clary and her best friend Simon as they uncover the secret world and meet Shadowhunters like the sexy and brooding hero Jace, his best friend and fighting partner Alec his sister Isabelle.

"Pretty Little Liars" returns Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 8 p.m. on Freeform and is followed by "Shadowhunters" at 9 p.m.
