Microsoft's Xbox One requires cloud updates that may interrupt your multiplayer gaming on a "regular basis."

According iGameRepsonsibly.com, the tech company announced on Tuesday during GDC Next they are working on the issue, and have yet to eliminate the reboot problem.

"Once in a while, rather frequently actually, the host OS will require an update, meaning the physical machine is going to get rebooted whether your code is running or not," John Bruno , Xbox Live lead program manager, explained to the tech site. "That's a problematic thing for a game, and oftentimes it's in the middle of a multiplayer session. We've worked very hard to overcome that, but that's not to say it's going to be a reality in every case."

iGameRepsonsibly.com asked, "if servers are rebooted for OS updates, or in a far worse case, become unavailable." Bruno responded:

"I can't answer that. I don't know what the guys over at Titanfall have built into their game. It's up to the game developer. If they want to rely more on our XBLC service, we're happy to support that. We do provide a platform for them to persist data, but that's up to the developer to utilize that."

The Xbox One will be released in the U.S. on Nov. 22.

In other next-gen console news, Sony announced the PS Vita's new system software update 3.00, which will allow the device to sync with the PS4's Remote Play feature.

"The PS4 Link app has been added to the PS Vita system's home screen," Sony explained in a blog post.  "With this application, you can use your PS Vita to remotely control a PS4 system, and play a range of PS4 games on your PS Vita screen. When you're playing a game on PS4 that supports second screen features, you can also display information from that game on your PS Vita and use it as a second screen."
