The latest photos leaked by the Chinese certification agency TENAA revealed the highly-rumored Nokia Lumia 525, codenamed "Glee," targeted at the low-cost smartphone market.

The high-end smartphones define a company's innovation, while the entry-level and mid-range smartphones are key drivers of a company's revenue.  Nokia smartphones are the latest flavor of the rumor industry. For the past couple of days there has been a buzz about Lumia 525, a successor to its highly popular cousin Lumia 520.

The company has been working around its latest addition to the Lumia family for some time now and leaks have added more weight to the rumors. Nokia is planning to target the entry-level smartphones with its unannounced Lumia 525, codenamed "Glee."

If the codename gives you any hints, then you are thinking it right. The codename is linked to a popular American teen musical comedy-drama television series created by Ian Brennan, Brad Falchuk, and Ryan Murphy. The reason behind picking up a music-centered show name suggests the Lumia 525 will be heavily focused on music.

The recent leaked images from Chinese certification agency TENAA show that the agency has approved the Lumia 525, which means Nokia is free to proceed further with the device. Although the device in the leaked photo resembles the Lumia 520, LiveSide has clarified that the certification photos showed both 520 and 520T in yellow color.

Nokia has been highly successful with its Lumia 520, and it was a major part of the company's record 8.8 million Lumia sales.

Most likely the Lumia 525 will feature upgraded specs from its predecessor. The device will sport a higher RAM of 1GB, compared to 512MB on Lumia 520. The Lumia 525 will likely be clubbed with special music headphones, for its  music-focused device. It appears the new model will sport 4-inch, 480 x 800-pixel display and will be powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor. Several reports have also suggested that the device will have a 5-megapixel rear-camera and support 720p video playback and recording.

According to the reports, Nokia will unveil its Lumia 525 at a press event sometime toward the end of this month or the first week of December.
