Archos has unveiled its latest 101 XS 2 tablet from its Gen11 series, which is set to release in the U.S. for an extremely low price of $279 this December.

Archos, French consumer Electronics Company, has announced a latest addition to its new Gen11 tablet range, a 10.1-inch 101 XS 2 tablet. The new tablet will hit the U.S. stores in December for a reasonable $279 price tag. Archos is likely to get good opening sales considering the holiday season in the U.S., with a product which is competitively priced. The 101 XS 2 tablet also includes a Coverboard magnetic keyboard, which was introduced in the Gen10 range, at no extra cost. The Archos 101 XS 2 sports a 10.1-inch IPS screen with a 1280 x 800 resolution. It is powered by a1.6GHz quad-core A9 processor and has 2GB RAM. The tablet sports front speakers like seen in the HTC smartphones, for better audio quality while watching movies and playing games.
