Things seem to be going pretty well for Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth after they rekindled their romance over New Year's. The two are still together in Australia where they spent the holiday, but the singer was supposed to perform at a party in Los Angeles, but she canceled her appearance, according to E! News.

Cyrus was supposed to perform her song "Hands of Love" at the party from the film "Freeheld" with the song's writer Linda Perry, but Perry announced that Cyrus couldn't make the event because she was still in Australia. While Cyrus did cancel the event, Perry had nothing but positive things to say about the pop star. In fact, it was "Freeheld" star and producer Ellen Page's idea to have Cyrus sing on the song.

"She called her and Miley said yes," Perry told E!. "I was expecting a f--king hurricane but she came in all chill, ready to be of service, sang the song like three times and was like, 'Linda, do you need anything else?' She was so generous with her time. She was so sweet. I'm a huge fan now because of that."

Cyrus was spotted in Hemsworth native Australia over the New Year's weekend in Australia partying with the family of her former fiancé at the Falls Music Festival at Byron Bay, as HNGN previously reported. The two were seen cuddling and kissing during the festival and were also spotted VIP area with "The Hunger Games" star's older brothers Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky.

Cyrus and Hemsworth met on the set of the Nicholas Sparks film "The Last Song" and started dating in 2009. The couple got engaged in June 2012, but called off the engagement by September 2013.

Even though the two stars had been broken up for two years, Cyrus still had fantasies that they would someday get back together and reportedly started growing her hair for Hemsworth. It looks like her wish just may be coming come true!
