Lady Gaga has reportedly parted ways with her manager, Troy Carter, over "creative differences" after nearly a decade of close partnership

Lady Gaga has been in the headlines for losing some important people in her life of late. Firstly, her two-year-long relationship with boyfriend Taylor Kinney reportedly came to an end. But a new video on Instagram rubbished all the rumors about the break-up. The video showed the couple kissing backstage, before the "Applause" singer took the stage during her performance at the YouTube Awards, Sunday. While the 27-year-old singer has held on to one relationship, it seems she has let go of another, according to a recent report.

Gaga and her manager Troy Carter have parted ways after nearly a decade of professional guidance, according to the US Weekly. The tabloid learnt from multiple sources that their professional relationship came to an end due to "creative differences."

"It's sad but also liberating at the same time," a source close to both, told US Weekly of the split. "One door closes and another opens."

Carter guided Gaga right from her early days to her current superstardom. The "Poker Face" singer hired the 40-year-old music manager in 2007 and he has since worked hard to help propel Gaga into stardom. Carter also received an Emmy nomination for his work on Gaga's HBO Monster Ball Tour special.

Carter is also widely credited for Gaga's social media success, which has led to more than 60 million Facebook fans and 40 million followers on Twitter. Now he plans to shift focus to his business endeavors. Carter has also invested in several tech firms including Uber, Spotify, and Dropbox, according to Tech Crunch. In addition, he has also started a new AF Square Fund to raise $75 million to $100 million to spend on startups.
