A team of skywriting airplanes took to the California skies on Friday to deliver a series of messages to Donald Trump and a national audience during the annual Rose Parade in Pasadena. For nearly an hour, five planes shot out insults aimed at the Republican front-runner, Reuters reported

Included in the messages were: "America is great! Trump is disgusting," "Anybody but Trump," "Trump loves to hate" and "Trump is delusional." People on the ground at the parade captured the skywriting and posted pictures on Twitter, creating a minor social media storm, according to CNN.

The man behind the stunt is an Alabama millionaire real estate developer and donor to Marco Rubio's 2016 presidential bid for the White House. "There's no place for him," Stan Pate told CBS News, referring to Trump. "He needs to go back to one of his tall towers and build buildings and whatever else he does. He's a despicable man."

Pate, who has hired skywriters in the past for large-scale events, said the hateful words that come from Trump are not appropriate for the presidency.

"He spews hate, not only on every candidate, he spews it on women, Latinos, Muslims and the list goes on," Pate said, CBS reported. "And it's just time we respond and say this is not what we expect out of a candidate running for president."

Pate also warned Trump: "This is not over. "This is just beginning."
