Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson rose to fame with his WWE pro-wrestling career before going on to become an action film star, and he will be returning to the ring for the 2016 Wrestlemania event. The People's Champ announced his return on Instagram, and excited fans will be able to smell what the Rock is cooking on April 3 when the event will air live on the WWE Network from AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

"IT'S OFFICIAL: People's Champ is coming home to do 3 things with THE PEOPLE: Set an ALL-TIME attendance record, ELECTRIFY Dallas like never before & make all time #WRESTLEMANIA history," the "San Andreas" actor wrote on Instagram. "THANK YOU #WWEUniverse! It's always an honor coming home and I wouldn't miss it for the world."

The 43-year-old wrestling star, dubbed The Most Electrifying Man in Entertainment, will be a part of Wrestlemania 32, which is set to draw the largest crowd in sports entertainment history, according to the WWE official site. Johnson also had a guest spot at this year's Wrestlemania 31 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., when he and UFC fighter Ronda Rousey took on the WWE's Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

No word yet on whether Johnson will be wrestling during the event, but it's speculated that Johnson's return could be to support current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, according to Bleacher Report. Johnson dropped in at the WWE's 2015 Royal Rumble to lay the smack down, helping Reigns defeat his opponents Kane and The Big Show.
