Cleveland Browns outside linebacker Armonty Bryant will not play against the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday after being arrested early Christmas morning, according to ESPN.

Browns practice squad cornerback De'Ante Saunders and Bryant were arrested early Friday, and Saunders was arrested for an OVI and speeding, according to Scott Taylor of CBS Cleveland. Bryant's charges have not been released, but Ohio State Highway Patrol has reportedly stated that a gun and a prescription drugs of Adderall were also found in the vehicle driven by Saunders, according to Taylor.

"We are aware of the arrests of De'Ante Saunders and Armonty Bryant after a traffic stop early Friday morning," said general manager Ray Farmer in a released statement, via the Browns' team website. "These are charges that we take very seriously. The importance of responsible decision-making is something we continually stress to all members of our organization, which makes it extremely disappointing that these two individuals would put themselves in this situation by making such poor decisions. Armonty will be inactive on Sunday for our game against the Chiefs and will not travel with the team to Kansas City so he can tend to this personal legal matter.

Bryant has had off-field issues in his past, as he was arrested for selling marijuana at East Central University in Oklahoma in 2012 and was also arrested for a DUI after being drafted by Cleveland in 2013, according to ESPN. The Browns linebacker has turned into a productive player for Cleveland's defense and had recorded 5.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in his third year in the league. Cleveland is currently in line to get one of the top picks in the upcoming draft and, with a record of 3-11, could be looking to make some significant changes this offseason.
