Children at the Kosair Children's Hospital got a surprise visit from Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence on Wednesday. Lawrence was at the hospital in her home state of Kentucky, and the visit has become a little tradition for the star of "The Hunger Games" series.

The actress took multiple pictures with the patients and nurses at the hospital. She took a couple of pictures with 8-year-old Cooper Fullen, who has a tumor on his adrenal gland, according to WDRB.com. On Monday, Fullen will have to go into surgery to find out if the tumor is cancerous or not. The actress, who can next be seen in David O. Russell's "Joy" also took time to sign a poster for the sick child.

"I hope everyone who loves Jennifer as much as we do gets to meet her one day. It's an amazing experience and she is the kindest person ever," tweeted Bailey Fullen, the sister of Cooper, according to WHAS 11.

Last year, Lawrence visited the same hospital in another surprise visit, as well as in 2013. She met with the kids and staff members at Kosair Children's hospital the previous two years also.

Lawrence's latest film "Joy" comes out on Christmas Day.
