In his short time in the NHL and with the Montreal Canadiens, P.K. Subban has developed a reputation as something close to the near-perfect embodiment of both compassionate giving and generous philanthropy. Subban took that a step further this holiday season, helping to turn the Atrium at the Montreal Children's Hospital into a kind of magical holiday experience.

Check out the video that Subban posted to his twitter timeline early on Thursday...

Subban's philanthropic efforts have been consistent and far-reaching, especially as it pertains to Montreal Children's Hospital. The charismatic blueliner recently made a seven-year, $10 million commitment to the hospital.

"I have the ability as of right now to encourage other people to get involved," Subban said recently, per Arpon Basu of NHL.com. "I may not always have that ability to get people to donate money and join my charity or my foundation or my events. But right now I do, so I'm trying to capitalize on that. Who knows? Hopefully I have that for the rest of my life, but why not do it now?"

The atrium, resplendent as pictured above, is named the P.K. Subban Atrium, in honor of his significant financial contributions to the children's hospital.
