With the launch of Sony's next-generation console, the PlayStation 4, just two short weeks away, the company has decided to post a very all encompassing FAQ on its PlayStation blog on Wednesday in order to help gamers get right into the nitty gritty with their new hardware.

Earlier in August, the company originally announced it would launch 33 games during the console's "launch window," according to NBC News. Unfortunately, since that announcement, the console and developers have suffered some delays and unforeseen circumstances arise from a high-profile development title. Ubisoft, which was going to be releasing two of its most promising titles, was forced to announce recently that it would need to push "Watch Dogs" and "The Crew" back until some time after the new year.

The new list of games on the FAQ are as follows:

  • "Flower"
  • "Killzone: Shadow Fall"
  • "Knack"
  • "Resogun"
  • "Sound Shapes"
  • "Angry Birds Star Wars"
  • "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag"
  • "Call of Duty: Ghosts"
  • "FIFA 14"
  • "Battlefield 4"
  • "Just Dance 2014"
  • "Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition"
  • "Lego Marvel Super Heroes"
  • "Madden NFL 25"
  • "NBA 2K14"
  • "Contrast"
  • "Pinball Arcade"

On the list only "Flower," "Killzone," "Knack," Resogun" and "Sound Shapes" are PlayStation 4 exclusive titles. When compared to the title lineup from Microsoft's competing Xbox One console, the PlayStation 4 list of games looks a little skimpy:

  • Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag - Available on all major consoles
  • Battlefield 4 - Available on all major consoles except the Wii U
  • Call of Duty: Ghosts - Available on all major consoles

Of the 23 games on the list, "Crimson Dragon," "Dead Rising 3," "Forza Motorsport 5," "Killer Instinct," "Powerstar Golf," "Ryse: Son of Rome," and "Zoo Tycoon" are produced by Microsoft. Other Xbox One exclusives are: "Lococycle" and the Kinect-powered Ubisoft title "Fighter Within."
