Miranda Kerr recently posed in nothing but a pair of stilettos for Harper's Bazaar Australia and, even though the results were flawless, Coles supermarket didn't seem to think the cover was appropriate for its shelves.

The giant Australian grocery chain pulled thousands of copies of the January/February edition of Harper's Bazaar, which featured the 32-year-old supermodel completely nude on the cover, according to the Independent. While it had only briefly been on Coles shelves, the store's executives believe it was too inappropriate to stay.

"In response to feedback from our customers, many of whom shop with their children, we removed the magazine from sale earlier this week," said Coles in a statement to Mashable. "We didn't think the cover was appropriate for our stores so the decision was made."

Haper's Bazaar editor-in-chief Kellie Hush revealed she was not happy with Coles' decision. "I was really disappointed to hear Coles made the decision to pull the Miranda Kerr issue off shelves," she told the Sydney Morning Herald. "The cover is a beautiful artistic image taken by one of Australia's best photographers, Steven Chee, and I stand by that. I have had so much positive feedback around the globe, it is a shame Coles does not also recognize the artistic integrity of this image... We're now living in an era of Victoria's Secret Angels, stolen nude photos and attempts to break the Internet with reality stars in provocative poses. This isn't the same thing. Harper's Bazaar has long celebrated the daring woman — someone with vision, commitment, style — and a total lack of fear. Miranda may be naked, but she's a trailblazer and this cover celebrates this."

Following the shoot, Kerr explained that she had no idea she would even be shooting nude. "I thought we were doing a fashion story," she said, according to News.Au. "We needed to get somebody in quick to give me a wax. I was not prepared at all." She even explained that, for this cover shot, even though it may seem like she is completely naked, there is some clothing there. "I had to explain to [my boyfriend Evan Spiegel] that I do have a G-string on and that I am covered up with a robe in between shots, and that nothing is really showing apart from my skin...That's what all models wear on editorial shoots."
