When Minnesota mom Angela Ramey received one chance at a half-court shot at her daughter's middle school on Dec. 4, no one in attendance thought she could make it, except her sweet daughter Grace. Boxes donated to charity will still being moved under the basket while she was trying to gain the courage to shoot the basketball, Grace gave her all the encouragement she could muster, the crowd was noisy, and finally the moment came. Angela gave it the old alley-oop underhanded granny throw with the ball bouncing about 15 feet on the floor in front of the hoop. Everyone just laughed until the magic happened: the one bounce lined up the ball to the basket, and swish, it was in, says the Huffington Post.

The shock on Ramey's face is even better than the basket made. Shocked is an understatement, according to the Examiner. Once the ball had bounced, she already thought she had missed, and she was the last one that noticed she made the shot.

Ramey did play basketball once, way back in fifth and sixth grade, according to Bleacher Report. She must have channeled her previous experience here.

Bethany Academy's fundraiser was all about giving back to its community, and the whole school had assembled boxes for charity from donated items. Whichever team assembled and loaded the most boxes won the chance at the half-court shot. Angela and Grace were the winners, giving Angela the shot opportunity. And thanks to that beautiful basket, Angela earned more than $4,000 off Grace's tuition for next year, not something to take lightly, that's for sure.

When the folks at  "Good Morning America" saw the video, they booked the happy trio (husband and dad James joined the girls) for an appearance on the ABC show in New York to celebrate the moment.
