The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Episode 5 Spoilers: Caroline Confronts Tyler About his Absence [WATCH]; Another Ball is Upon Us

In last week’s episode of “The Vampire Diaries” Tyler (Michael Trevino) made a dramatic return at Bonnie’s (Kat Graham) funeral which probably sent “Forwood” fans everywhere into tears.

According to a sneak peek from this week’s episode provided to the Entertainment Weekly website, Caroline (Candice Accola) and Tyler are “celebrating” in her dorm room. They start discussing Tyler’s status at Whitmore. However, the conversation turns to the elephant into the room—Tyler was ignoring his girlfriend for quite a long time.

“We could talk about the hybrid sized jerk that you’ve been for not calling me back, ever,” says Caroline. Tyler once again explains he has been helping a werewolf pack in an area with no cell reception.

Nevertheless, Caroline has an idea on how Tyler can repay her for lost time—the Whitmore Historical Ball.

If Caroline and Tyler do end up at the ball they won’t be the only Mystic Falls natives there. According to photos provided to TVLine.com, “Delena” will also attend the festivities. TVLine’s Vlada Gelman reports Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) will attend as Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn, respectively.

Although last week’s episode was an adorable moment for Tyler and Caroline, I think that relationship has run its course.

Tyler’s only connection to “The Vampire Diaires”, other than Caroline, was Klaus. Now that Klaus (Joseph Morgan) has headed to New Orleans I think Tyler needs to follow him. If Tyler were to end up on “The Originals” it could create more drama and storylines than if he stays on TVD.
