NBA trade rumors are crazy right now as almost every player in the league is now eligible to be traded so people have started to wonder who might be traded and where players might end up. The Cleveland Cavaliers don't figure to be involved in too much trade talk as their roster is already stacked but there is one player they are reportedly looking to move and that is second year man Joe Harris, according to Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon-Journal.

Harris was the Cavaliers second round pick in the 2014 NBA Draft and he has made the roster both of his years in the NBA but he hasn't had a role with the team. So far this season Harris has appeared in just five games and played a total of 15 minutes while being passed on the depth chart by Jared Cunningham. With Cunningham having emerged as a viable option for Cleveland the Cavaliers are reportedly looking to deal Harris for a second round pick for a couple of different reasons.

One reason is that the Cavaliers only have one second round pick before 2021 and that is in 2019. Another reason is that trading Harris will give Cleveland some cap relief and they prefer to move him over Cunningham because Harris' contract is guaranteed while Cunningham's is not yet. One last reason a Harris trade is likely is because the Cavaliers want to keep an open roster spot for later on down the line should they decide to add a veteran in free agency or use one of their trade exceptions.

Harris is currently under contract for this season at less than $1 million and is also under contract for next season at less than $1 million so he shouldn't be difficult for the Cavaliers to move as a young player with upside. Harris has recently been playing in the D-League as a way for the Cavaliers to showcase his talent to other NBA teams and he has played pretty well despite not shooting it great from three point range.

At this point it seems pretty likely that Harris' time in Cleveland is coming to an end as there will likely be some team out there that sees a second round pick as a small price to pay for a talented player who is cost controlled for the next couple of seasons. Harris hasn't gotten much run with the Cavaliers during his time there so a trade might be the best thing for him personally as well.
