Never ones to spare their son the finest of anything, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recently made a big purchase for their son, Prince George, spending top dollar on a new silver cross stroller for the third in the line to the throne.

A royal rep recently confirmed to E! News that Kate Middleton and Prince William purchased the Balmoral model of the Silver Cross Stroller for their son, which retails at a whopping $2,350, according to product information details on the company's official website.

"For many years, Silver Cross have provided royalty across the world with their prams and are delighted that the Duke and Duchess have chosen the premier British brand for Prince George," a rep for the company told E! News. "With over 130 years experience in manufacturing prams we are certain the Prince will enjoy his Silver Cross."

The new present comes in the wake of Prince George's Christening at St. Jame's Palace, an event at which the little prince looked adorable in a frilly satin royal replica gown as he was anointed with water from the River Jordan and received his seven godparents, including Olivia Baker, Hugh, Earl Grosvenor, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, Julia Samuel, Zara Phillips, and William van Cutsem.

"He was such a good boy actually. We were very lucky, he's not always like that," Middleton recalled to Sky News of the big day during her latest solo appearance at the 100 Women in Hedge Funds Gala Dinner on Oct. 24.

Prince George, who was in a relatively neutral mood throughout his special ceremony, gave his mother a sweet smile during a family portrait taken taken in the Morning Room at Clarence House in London on the day of his christening.
