Ever since Selena Gomez and One Direction's Niall Horan were seen kissing at a party earlier this month, dating rumors have been flying, even though neither of them had commented on the rumors whatsoever. Last week, sources even said that Horan's bandmate Harry Styles was really happy for the two and that he thinks they are a "great match," as HNGN previously reported. On Friday night, Gomez finally commented on the dating rumors, and as it turns out, they're nothing more than just friends.

"Oh my god! No," the 23-year-old singer told Entertainment Weekly at Billboard's 10th Annual Women in Music event when asked if the two are an item. "I love him, I always have. He's amazing."

Just days after denying that they were romantically involved, several people on social media spotted the "Hands to Myself" singer back stage at the "X-Factor U.K.'s" finale, where One Direction was performing, according to E! News. "So I just walked past selena, niall, grimmy and the contestants backstage at x factor??" one twitter user wrote.

Gomez, who was wearing a green jacket with a tank-top underneath, was snapping selfies with some fans and hanging out with some of Horan's friends. While she has now confirmed that they are just friends, he has not yet commented on their relationship.
