It took eight years for "Arrested Development" to make a comeback on Netflix in 2013, but the wait for a fifth season shouldn't take as long. Executive producer Ron Howard assured fans on Friday that everyone is committed to revisiting the Bluths again soon.

"Well, Mitch Hurwitz the creator of the show is working writers now," Howard told co-anchor Amy Robach on "Good Morning America." "Netflix is behind it, 20th Century Fox is behind it."

So what's the big hold up? Everyone in the cast is super busy these days.

Jason Bateman is having a successful movie career. Jeffrey Tambor is winning numerous awards on Amazon's "Transparent." Tony Hale is busy holding Julia Louis-Dreyfus' purse on "Veep." Portia De Rossi is handling things on "Scandal," and Jessica Walter continues to be her amazing self on whatever project she works.

Howard, who serves as the show's narrator, also has a busy directing scheduling. He recently premiered his movie "In the Heart of the Sea," and he's finishing production on "Inferno," the next installment of the Dan Brown book adaptations which will hit theaters next year.

"It's hopeful - what has happened is that the cast has become so freakin' in demand and busy. Everyone wants to do it. Fans want it.  I would be saddened if we didn't achieve it. I'm the announcer and the narrator, and I have to get back to that microphone," Howard said.

"Arrested Development" originally ran for three seasons on Fox between 2003 and 2006.
