Queen B wants to be back on the big screen. It's been almost a decade since Beyoncé graced the big screen with her rendition of Deena Jones in "Dreamgirls" and seven years since she played Etta James in "Cadillac Records." Now, the 34-year-old singer is looking to find an "iconic dramatic role" to reintroduce herself to Hollywood.

Beyoncé "wants to land leading roles in movies and has been taking classes in New York and L.A. for the past year," an insider told Us WeeklyThis could be why she reportedly turned down the chance to be a part of NBC's "The Wiz Live!"

"Bey's looking for an iconic dramatic role. She wants to make a film that's socially relevant to African American rights," the source added about Beyoncé, who earned an award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Golden Globe nomination for "Dreamgirls."

Not to worry, the "7/11" hitmaker has not given up on her musical roots.

Beyoncé is reportedly working on a new musical project two years after dropping her self-titled surprise album. The singer will begin shooting a new music video on Dec. 14 until Dec. 20, according to AceShowBizFrench choreographer Zack Reece reportedly tweeted and then deleted a casting call for Beyoncé's new video on Twitter.

"Beyonce's also recording a new album! She's writing and working with a bunch of producers right now," the insider said.
