Latest reports suggest that Google is planning to launch its latest Nexus 5 in the U.S. through Play Store, at least a week ahead of launching the device in Canada.

Google's latest Nexus smartphone is building a lot of hype as it is expected to release alongside the much anticipated Android 4.4 KitKat. The Nexus devices are the first ones to receive any Android update that is launched in the market, hence, the common launch suggests the Nexus 5 will sport the Android's latest iteration.

The latest news was confirmed by a source that the Nexus 5 and Android KitKat will make its formal debut Thursday, October 31, in the United States, according to Canadian tech blog MobileSyrup. The device is set to launch in Canada a week later, likely in the first week of November.

According to MobileSyrup, the source also revealed that several national carriers in Canada, including Rogers, Bell, TELUS, Koodo, and Virgin Mobile are waiting to introduce the LG Nexus 5.

The rumored release date for Nexus 5 launch has been circulating around the Internet for a while now. Earlier reports indicated that the device will be launched in mid-October or latest by October 28.

The existence of the device was confirmed when the web giant briefly listed the Nexus 5 smartphone on Google Play Store by replacing its predecessor. During that short period when users tried to pre-order or purchase the device, the web page failed to load suggesting the hushed launch was a sheer error. But at least the audience had a good look at the price range, it was listed for $349.

Of course, the speculated release dates can be as good as stranded boats in the sea until Google or LG officially break the news. Stay tuned while we bring more updates on the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat launch.
