The Navy has reprimanded and removed Rear Admiral David Baucom from his position for getting drunk and walking around naked in a hotel in Florida.

Baucom had consumed so much liquor while attending the National Defense Transportation Association's Transportation Advisory Board in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., that he had to be escorted to his room by hotel employees. He was found walking around the hotel property naked later in the night.

The two-star admiral said in a statement that he takes "full responsibility and accountability for my actions. I have served the Navy for more than 34 years and am proud of our institution. I deeply regret my actions caused discredit to the Navy I love," according to The Washington Post.

Baucom added that four doctors told he that he may have experienced an atrial fibrillation that day, which leads to symptoms like lightheadedness, dizziness, disorientation and confusion, The Navy Times reported. "These symptoms may last up to 24 hours. I am now being treated for those symptoms and other medical conditions," Baucom said, blaming his behavior on mixing prescription drugs with alcohol.

"We do not dispute that they may have made him dizzy or drowsy. We determined, however, that dizziness or drowsiness are not relevant to our analysis of whether RADM Baucom was drunk or disorderly," read the Navy Inspector General's investigation report, which determined "that RADM Baucom's level of intoxication and his public nudity are of such a nature that they dishonored or disgraced him personally and seriously compromised his standing as an officer," reported ABC News.
