Robert Lewis Dear, 57, is the man accused of shooting three people to death and injuring nine at a Colorado Planned Parenthood clinic. "I'm guilty, there is no trial. I am a warrior for the babies," he exclaimed in court on Wednesday, reported Reuters.

Dear reportedly had several outbursts throughout the hearing, speaking very loudly and expressing his opinions. When the judge and attorneys discussed sealing the case documents, Dear said: "Seal the truth, huh? Kill the babies, that's what Planned Parenthood does." When the list of his victims was read aloud in court, according to WYFF News 4, Dear blurted out: "Could you add the babies that were to be aborted that day? Can you add that to the list?"

Dear's lawyer, Dan King, noted that his mental state meant that he might not be competent to stand trial, saying, "I think the problem is obvious." Prosecutors filed 179 felony charges against Dear, according to Reuters.

"I think there's a lot of belief that this qualifies as a form of domestic terrorism," said Dawn Laguens, Planned Parenthood's chief experience officer. Mike Huckabee, who is vocal about his pro-life views, agreed with Laguens, saying, " What he did is domestic terrorism, and what he did is absolutely abominable - especially to us in the pro-life movement, because there's nothing about any of us that would condone or in any way look the other way on something like this."

Dear had lived parts of his life in isolated areas without electricity or water and entertained survivalist ideas, according to Fox News. One of his ex-wives noted that he had vandalized an abortion clinic 20 years ago.

Though an official motive for the crime has not been released, Dear's court outbursts and actions show that he was extremely, violently upset by abortion, noted Fox News.
