Apple's 13.3-inch Retina MacBook Pro was already sold during the recently concluded Black Friday for $1,858. Now, however, it is available for $1,500 in some retail stores. This continuous drop in pricing is seen by several observers as an indication of the MacBook Pro 2016's impending release.

An early release for MacBook Pro 2016 seems to depend on the launch of the upcoming MacBook Air 2016. Previous reports have estimated that the Air will be announced this month or as early as last Black Friday. However, Apple has remained silent so far on the issue, prompting analysts to modify their predictions. The device is now being expected to make an appearance during the Worldwide Developers Conference in 2016, or within the first three months of 2016, and the MacBook Pro is believed to follow suit, Gospel Herald reported.

More conservative estimates, however, place the release sometime in the third quarter of 2016. This rumor is bolstered by the claim that Apple is cautious about self-competition. This is attributed to the fact that the company just released the iPad Pro, according to Christian Today.

Regardless of the release dates, consumers can look forward to several critical improvements to the MacBook Pro 2016. One of these involve the possibility that Apple will no longer use Intel processors in favor of the company's own next generation A-series Mobile Processing chip, which could either be iPad Pro's A9X chip or the new A10 chip, Day Herald reported.
