Rapper Nicki Minaj's brother Jelani Maraj was reportedly arraigned for first degree rape charges and first degree course of sexual conduct against a minor Thursday on Long Island, as HNGN previously reported. At the time, it had been reported that he was later freed from a Nassau County jail on a $100,000 bail, and now it seems as though his famous sister paid the hefty bail.

The court papers, obtained by The New York Post, state that Minaj is standing by her big brothers side because she put up the $100,000 bond to release him from custody. She used two of her homes, one of which is used by Maraj and one of which is used by her mother Carol, as collateral for the bond. She will be responsible for the fees associated with securing the bond, which is typically six to 10 percent of the bond amount.

"She was prepared to do anything for her brother," a source said.

Maraj is being accused of raping the child, who is apparently 12 years old, on several different occasions between April and November, according to USA Today. He had originally been arrested on Tuesday but suffered an unknown medical condition, so he was not arraigned until Thursday while at the Nassau University Medical Center.

He is due back in court on Dec. 9.
