A lockdown at a Navy base in Tennessee was lifted following a shooting on Thursday, USA TODAY reported.

The Navy confirmed the an "incident" occurred and said they had a suspect in custody. They also said the base was not experiencing an "active shooter situation."

According to CNN, a member of the National Guard got in a fight with two other troops on the base. The shooter shot both soldiers -- one in the foot and the other in the leg.

Neither victim sustained life-threatening wounds, CBS reported.

The Navy's official Twitter account was uploading active updates following reports.

"This is not Navy related," a military official told NBC.

Authorities planned to hold a press conference further discussing the incident according to the Twitter account.

The base is located in Millington, near Memphis, and employs 7,500 military and civilians. It serves as a center for Navy personnel, logistical report, recruiting, and as a finance center for the Army Corps of Engineers. 

In September, former government contractor Aaron Alexis attacked the Navy Yard in Washington, D.C., killing 12 people and wounding three others in a shooting rampage.
