1) Great American Cookies

Selected Great American Cookies stores will be giving away original chocolate chip cookies. Check store locations here and call beforehand to know if they are giving away cookies, as advised on their Facebook page. 

2) Insomnia Cookies

Customers of Insomnia Cookies will get chocolate chunk cookies for National Cookie Day until 3 a.m. Dec. 5. The offer is valid online too, per the company's Facebook page.

3) Christie Cookie Co.

The Germantown bakery announced it will be giving away free cookies while cheering on its hockey league sports team, as posted on their Facebook page.

4) DoubleTree by Hilton

Hilton guests usually receive free DoubleTree cookies when they check in at the hotel, but for National Cookie Day, tourists will also be able to sample the cookie goodness at the Rockefeller Center in New York. If you're in the area by the newly-lit Christmas tree between 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, be on the lookout for cookie giveaways. Distribution already started during the tree lighting ceremony Dec. 3, per Record Express.

5) WinStar World Casino and Resort

If you happen to be at the WinStar World Casino and Resort between the borders of Texas and Oklahoma today, then head to the Player's Club Desk and show your club passport card for free cookies, according to their website.

6) Whole Foods Market

Whole Foods Market is celebrating National Cookie Day for a whole week and customers will get three chocolate chip cookies each as long as supplies are available, according to a press release.

7) ROCS
