France shut down three mosques during its crackdown following the Nov. 13 attacks on Paris, according to the New York Times. Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve told authorities about the closing of two mosques in Lyon and Gennevilliers last week, and the one mosque east of Paris, in Lagny-sur-Marne.

The mosques were closed as part of France's action to shut down places of worship that France suspects nurtures "Islamic radicalization." During the raids, security officers found jihadist documents at one mosque, closed Wednesday, and have arrested a total of nine people, banning another 22 from leaving the country, Cazeneuve said.

Since the Paris attacks, France has declared a state of emergency and has performed raids on 2,235 homes and buildings, taken 232 people into custody and confiscated 334 weapons, according to Breitbart. Of the weapons confiscated, 34 are war-grade. "In 15 days we have seized one-third of the quantity of war-grade weapons that are normally seized in a year," Cazeneuve said.

"This is the terrorism that threatens liberties today," Cazeneuve said, according to Time. "We are fighting terrorism, and we will win."
