Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's unborn son is no longer breech. The very pregnant star of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" revealed today on her blog that she had a very painful procedure over the weekend to have the baby turned the correct direction, head facing down.

"This weekend I checked into the hospital and underwent a procedure called an ECV (External Cephalic Version, or a Version), which is done to manually turn the baby from a breech position to a head-down position," the 35-year-old wrote, according to E! News. "They gave me an IV with medication to relax my uterus, and then three doctors attempted to work together to turn the baby."

Kardashian previously revealed in late November that her second child was in the dangerous breech position, as HNGN reported. In the post, she voiced her concern for her own health as well as her unborn child and the fact that she did not want to get a C-section. While the latest procedure kept the "Selfie" author from getting a C-section, she revealed if the ECV did not work, she would have given birth this upcoming weekend.

"There was a risk that my water might break or the baby's heart rate could drop-in which case, an emergency C-section would then take place," Kardashian continued. "I went in with my sisters and my husband. I was prepared for it all!"

The procedure worked, but Kardashian said she could not take any pain medication and described the procedure as "soooooo painful. Probably more painful than childbirth."

Kardashian is due around Christmas, as HNGN previously reported.
