Kelly Clarkson married longtime boyfriend Brandon Blackstock in a beautiful ceremony on Oct. 20. From the pictures the 31-year-old singer posted it looked like it was a fairytale wedding except her family was missing.

According to Hollywood Life, Clarkson's family didn't get an invite to the wedding but are completely ok with it. The "Stronger" singer said she was planning on having a big, huge wedding but her hectic schedule wouldn't allow her to plan the elaborate wedding. Instead Clarkson and Blackstone decided to elope at Blackberry Farm, a luxury resort in Walland, Tenn.

Her mother, Jeanne Taylor, told Celebuzz that she understood why her daughter scrapped her big wedding plans and the family was not upset that they didn't get an invite.

"[Kelly] was so afraid we might be upset. But we were fine with it. I had known that she was under a lot of stress. And we just wanted her to be happy and not stressed out. I think the biggest thing for us to do was to allow her to do what she wanted to do," Taylor said.

Clarkson was trying to plan a wedding, finish her holiday album "Wrapped in Red" and tour all at the same time. He mother told the website that her demanding career was stressing Clarkson out.

"She said they were just so overwhelmed with the tour and they just decided to elope. But she didn't want to hurt our feelings," she said. "She has had a lot on her plate and I've seen her schedule for the next month and Christmas."

One thing about the wedding planning process did stay the same, however. She told E! News that she had her dress picked out several months in advance and wore Temperley for the big day.
