People who kept up with the Jodi Arias trial may have recognized a familiar face when they saw the news about a man toppling a boulder at Utah's Goblin Valley State Park; Dave Hall was a good friend of murder victim Travis Alexander who spoke with reporters on a regular basis, according to HLN.

Hall and two other men made a video of themselves toppling over a mushroom shaped boulder, known as a goblin, that went viral. The odd shape is created by millions of years of erosion by wind and water and the men could face criminal charges for defacing the structure, according to CNN.

Hall is the man singing "Wiggle it, just a little bit" while his friend, Glenn Taylor, topples the boulder before turning the camera to himself. During the Arias murder trial Hall was interviewed by HLN's Nancy Grace.

"There was just something really weird about (Jodi Arias), and when she spent time with you, you got even more creeped out," Hall said. "Just the way she acted in our home. The way that she had this awkward silence about her. The way that she just had no soul. You could almost see through her. It's not someone you could sit down with and have a conversation. She was very mysterious."

Within hours of Alexander's death Hall saw Arias out in public and had noticed that she was wearing a long sleeve shirt despite it being very hot out. Once news of his friend's death hit Hall contacted police in Mesa about his encounter, according to HLN.

"Many of Travis' friends contacted the Mesa Police Department to tell them 'You need to look at Jodi Arias. We don't know how she would have done it, we don't know what she would have done, but we know Jodi was involved somehow,'" Hall said in an interview with HLN's Jane Velez-Mitchell.

Arias is still awaiting a sentencing retrial to determine if she will receive the death penalty after being convicted of Alexander's murder in May.
