Chris Hemsworth just helped his parents in a way that they never would have imagined, and they couldn't be more proud to call him their son.

While speaking to Britain's Independent in an emotional interview, his younger brother Liam, 25, revealed that Chris, 32, surprised their parents by paying off all of their debts. His parents had no idea such a thing was happening, and he called his father out of the blue one day and simply told him to look at his bank account.

"He [his father] called my brother Chris back and said: 'I don't know how to feel. Since I left home I have had debts and I thought I'd be paying them off until I died and have this weight hanging over me, and now to have them completely cleared,'" Liam explained. "They are so happy now and able to spend more time with us, I would love to be able to do something for my parents like that."

As a way to honor his parents as well, the "Hunger Games" star became the ambassador for the Australian Childhood Foundation, which supports children going through trauma, alongside his big brother Chris, according to People. Their parents have been a huge part of the organization for a long time now.

"If you want to be a good person who adds to society, you have responsibility," Liam continued to tell the British news site. "That is something I take very seriously."

Liam's co-star Jennifer Lawrence recently told late night host Conan O'Brien what it is really like to hangout with his Australian family. "He's an animal. His whole family, they're real animals," she said. "It's the craziest family I've been around in my life. The way that they communicate is so physical and crazy."

The two actors have been keeping very busy lately, as Liam's "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" is currently in theaters, and Chris' "In the Heart of the Sea" hits theaters Dec. 11.
