Lil Boosie is sharing some bad news about his health. The 33-year-old Southern rapper, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, revealed on Instagram Wednesday that he's been diagnosed with kidney cancer, TMZ reported.

"I need all my fans to pray for me," the Louisiana native wrote alongside a photo of himself looking down at a breakfast table. "Doctor just told me I have cancer on my kidneys. Prayer is power that's why I'm letting the world know prayfaboosie."

However, the post was quickly deleted after becoming public. According to TMZ, the rapper's team was reportedly upset the rapper divulged his medical condition publicly before telling members of his family and close friends. Comments of encouragement and well-wishes flooded the rapper's page before the post was deleted.

The "Retaliation" rapper has had his fair share of personal troubles. In March 2014, he was released from prison after serving five years behind bars in the Louisiana State Penitentiary for marijuana possession and probation violation. He was first sentenced in 2009 after pleading guilty to marijuana possession charges.

According to TMZ, Lil Boosie has also been battling diabetes, a medical condition that made headlines after the rapper fell ill onstage during a May 2015 performance in New York City because he reportedly did not take his diabetes medications.
