"Supergirl" has named dropped Superman on multiple occasions early in its first season and shown glimpses of him through Kara's clouded vision. He will soon make his first official appearance on the CBS drama, just not as the fully formed Man of Steel.

"Supergirl" is casting a 13-year-old actor with "future leading man looks," to play the potentially recurring role of Kal-El, aka the soon-to-be Superman, according to TVLine. He will first appear in episode 13 in flashback scenes that demonstrate the strong bond between the cousins.

The show has already made several strong ties to the "man in blue." Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) poached famed Superman photographer, James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks), from the Daily Planet and Kara (Melissa Benoist) was messaging with her cousin "Clark Kent" to thank him for saving her life.

Supergirl has also faced off against the same villains including Reactron, one bad dude even her cousin couldn't take down but she was able to handle.

"Supergirl" airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
