Tickets that had been put on sale to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday have been sold out in hours, the BBC reported. The 25,000 tickets put on sale by organizers on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 09:00 GMT all got sold out within five hours.

Buckingham Palace has organized a four-day event between May 12 and May 15 at the Windsor Castle Garden next year, to mark Queen Elizabeth's 90th birthday. The event will bring together members of the public as well as members of the Royal Family.

Tickets were going for £55 to £195; the most expensive tickets were for seats located close to Royal Enclosure.

The four-day event is meant to celebrate the life of Her Majesty the Queen, who is now officially the longest reigning Monarch in the Kingdom's history, according to Sky News.

Members of the Royal Family will attend each of the four-night events, with the Queen expected to attend the final event on May 15. The Queen however turns 90 on April 21, and the events at Windsor are a nonprofit event meant to celebrate her achievements.

Money raised in the ticket sales will be donated to charity work, according to the event organizers.

The event will see 900 horses and 1,500 entertainers from around the world grace the four-day event, according to Forbes. Among the entertainers will be singer Katherine Jenkins, and many other musicians, choirs, actors, and actresses.

Organizers have said that the event "will be a celebration of the Queen's life, her love of horses, her dedication to the Commonwealth and international affairs and her deep involvement with the Navy, Army and Air Force."

They also added that the celebration of the Queen's nine-decade journey "will take us from the excitement of the birth, through to World War II, her marriage, the coronation and a reign of more than 60 years. The Celebration will use horses, actors, bands and dancers to tell the story."
