Nicki Minaj features in the new trailer for comedy "Barbershop 3" alongside Ice Cube, Eve, Cedric the Entertainer, Common, Anthony Anderson, Tyga and Regina Hall, among others.

The first look of the film, titled "Barbershop: The Next Cut," came out on Tuesday and shows Calvin (Cube) and Angie (Hall) team up and combine their respective haircutting establishments to form one unisex hair salon and tackle the rising gang violence in the South Side of Chicago, according to The Wrap.

Minaj, who we have previously seen on the silver screen as Cameron Diaz's assistant Lydia in "The Other Woman," plays the role of Draya in the follow-up to 2004's "Barbershop: Back in Business." Draya's vocabulary in the film includes words like "black Amex" and "fleek," which are beyond Eddie's (Cedric) comprehension, according to Vanity Fair.

The film is directed by Malcolm D. Lee, whose credits include "The Best Man Holiday" and "Scary Movie 5." The "threequel's" script was penned by "Blackish" series creator Kenya Barris and Tracy Oliver, according to Slash Film.

Twelve years after "Back in Business," "Barbershop: The Next Cut" is slated to hit theaters on April 15, 2016.
