The four remaining contestants on "Dancing With The Stars" will dance for the last time this week, and we will finally find out which three pairs will be one step closer to taking home that Mirrorball Trophy. With Bindi Irwin, Nick Carter, Carlos PenaVega and Alek Skarlatos battling it out on the dance floor for those final three spots, it's bound to be an intense and exciting night as they approach the end of their dancing journey.

On Monday night's episode, the finalists will compete in two rounds of dance. For the first round, each of the judges have been assigned a team that they will help choose a creative element for each of their dances, which will be a redo to a new song, according to ABC. Carrie Ann Inaba will be working with Irwin and her partner Derek Hough as well as Skarlatos and his partner Lindsay Arnold; Julianne Hough will be working with Carter and his partner Sharna Burgess; and Bruno Tonioli will be working with PenaVega and his partner Witney Carson. For the second round, the dancers will take on a freestyle dance which will be extra special routines as they will have additional dancers, special effects and unexpected surprises. The couple with the lowest combined viewer and judge votes from the previous two weeks will then be eliminated.

On Tuesday night, the final three contestants will take part in a repeat dance from the season and then a new routine, which is part of a "24-Hour Fusion Challenge." This consists of two contrasting dance styles that they have already performed this season fused together for one epic result, and the twist is, they have less than 24 hours to prepare. The judges will then score them on these challenging routines, and the winner will be announced at the end of the night.

During the special two-hour season finale event, many of the previous contestants from this season like Andy Grammer, Chaka Khan and Kim Zolciak will return to the dance floor to perform, and there will also be encore performances from the eliminated celebrities. The night will kick off with a reunion dance where all 13 of this season's couples will perform a high-energy routine.

Irwin has stayed at the top of the leaderboard this entire season, so based on judges' votes, she pretty much has it in the bag, but it's up to her fans to help her go all the way. "I think it's going to be a very, very close run," judge Inaba told TV Guide. "I hear Bindi's name come up a lot when people are talking about who they think is going to win. And yes, she's got this incredible personality and she's done consistently well. But...not to bring her down at all, because she's absolutely incredible, but when you're that good every time, the level of expectation is very, very high. And I think she's shown us so many incredible sides of herself, I wonder what she's going to show us for the finale. Because you could be great all season, but if you don't win that night, you don't win."

Inaba believes any of the four remaining have a shot at winning. "Bindi's been strong and she's been the leader horse out in the front, but I feel like these other guys, the three men, are right on her tail," she continued to say. "And [among] the three of them, I feel like it's a neck-and-neck run. Maybe Nick is just a hair ahead of the other guys, but who knows? Because they're all on this incredible growth trajectory...I think this year, because it is so tight scoring-wise, everybody's really close to each other. I think they're going to take some risks. And I just hope that they're risks that will pay off for them."

Inaba also told USA Today that she "loves the vulnerability shown by this season's dancers." "[They] have really opened their hearts to let us into their journeys," she said, adding that tonight's freestyle dance is major because it "sort of makes or breaks anybody in this competition."

Derek Hough is a champion within the ballroom, as he has won the most Mirrorball Trophies out of any of the pros, and no matter what the outcome of this season may be, he's just happy he got to share this journey with Irwin, but he too understands that sometimes when you're as consistently good as Irwin is, it can wind up hurting you in the end.

"Bindi has really affected me in a big way. She's been the most unbelievable surprise for me," he wrote in his blog for TV Guide. "When you have been on the show as long as I've been for almost 10 years, you start to look at it like, 'What else do I have in me?' I have to make things new and fun and interesting and inspiring. I try to find my ways. But Bindi made it easier because she just brought this amazing energy, inspiration and light. It just kind of reinvigorated me. I also felt a tremendous sense of responsibility because I'm such a fan of her dad. He did everything with passion and joy, so to have his daughter put in the care of you for three months, I took it quite seriously. I can't speak on her behalf, but for me, I certainly feel this extra sense of energy in the room, that third person. So I just want to finish it with that same energy."

As for his thoughts on the other contestants, he's excited to see what they bring to the dance floor. "I think it's going to be a great finale. We have four very distinct people and types of dancers," he continued to write. "I just hope that as far as Bindi is concerned, people will vote for her if they like her. She's done very well and has been so consistent that I think one of two things can happen. Either people are not fans, which is fine, and don't vote for you or they assume you'll be OK because you've been doing so well. We've seen the latter happen a lot on the show. I'd love to see Bindi go all the way. I've never seen anybody like her on the show. She's so special. She's really done well. Usually you have one or the other, but she's the full package."

Tune in to part one of the "DWTS" season 21 finale tonight at 8 p.m. on ABC.
