The much-awaited trailer of the Sanjal Leel Bhansali-directed historic romance drama "Bajirao Mastani" was unveiled amidst much fanfare in a grand function in Mumbai Friday evening.

Deepika Padukone, who plays one of the key characters in the movie, got emotional during an interaction with reporters shortly after the trailer launch.

"I am overwhelmed... Its not a movie it's an experience. I might breakdown. It's an amazing feeling. We have given our sweat, blood, tears, passion... Lot of hard work," Padukone said during a lunch ceremony, according to Press Trust of India.

"Bajirao Mastani" has recently got into trouble after a Peshwa descendant accused Bhansali of distorting facts about Bajirao, according to The Hindustan Times. Chopra, known for her brilliant performance in "Mary Kom," refuted the allegations, saying that the film is a part of history. She plays Bajirao's first wife Kashibai in the movie.

"This film is a part of history. This film is based on a book called 'Rau' and that is the author's version of what happened in Bajirao and Mastani's love story. So look at it as a beautiful rendition... Epic saga told from vision of Sanjay Leela Bhansali," the "Quantico" actress said, according to Zee News.
