Kanye West has reportedly told girlfriend Kim Kardashian she isn’t allowed to go under the knife for cosmetic purposes.

According to PerezHilton.com, the rapper doesn’t want North West mother is hesitant of the procedures because his mother’s death. Donda West died due to complications from surgery.

“Kim was certain that she wanted to have surgery after giving birth because she wanted a head start on losing her baby weight,” a source told the gossip site. “He really flipped out. Kanye told Kim in no uncertain terms that she needed to put her baby and her life first. He got pretty emotional because he really didn’t want her going through that kind of major surgery. He’s still traumatized from his mom’s death.”

Kanye would much rather Kim take the time to lose the weight rather than her dying on the operating table unexpectedly. The source told the gossip site he’s very protective of Kim and has put his “foot down” about the topic of plastic surgery.

Kim is reportedly understanding of where he’s coming from and decided to respect his wishes. However, Kim has become self-conscious with her post-baby body, PerezHilton.com reports.

“Kim has had a much harder time losing the baby weight than she ever anticipated. She works out extremely hard and everyone said she would shed the weight fast, but it just hasn’t happened,” the insider said. “Kim is telling everyone that she doesn’t want to go out in public unless she absolutely has to, because she’s still too self-conscious of her body. She keeps saying that she doesn’t want to have to look at ‘fat’ pictures for years.”

However, Kim still knows how to take a “sexy selfie.” She posted a photo showing off her best assets in a white, one-piece bathing suit.

The photo was Kanye West approved, as the two flirted on their Twitter accounts.
