When Khloé Kardashian received a call that said her estranged husband Lamar Odom was in a coma after being found in a Nevada brothel, she was initially told that he only had about four more hours to live. Now, more than one month later, the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star has opened up about that day.

"It's a horrible call to get," Kardashian told "Today" host Natalie Morales. "Getting to the hospital and knowing he's in a coma and having to run these tests or make medical decisions - it's terrifying."

Kardashian then spoke about the "executive decisions" she had to make regarding Odom's health and the pressure that she felt. The reality star then spoke about Odom's current health state and said that "every day is different" and that she was thankful the former NBA star was no longer dependent on life-support machines. While Odom has made progress in his health, Kardashian did warn that he was not completely "out of the woods" yet.

"He is learning how to walk again and learning ... cognitive therapy and speech therapy," she explained. "They think, like, within a year and a half to two years that, mentally, he might be fully recovered. But they don't know."

Kardashian even spoke about her decision to halt her divorce from Odom, even though she is still with her boyfriend, Houston Rockets star James Harden, as HNGN previously reported.

"I was expediting the divorce prior, and I'm still separated with him, but I'm just not expediting them anymore," she told Morales. "There was no reason for it. And also, [it's] in his will that I'm always the medical adviser. And it was just - he had no one else to make these decisions for him."

Odom is still recovering at a hospital in Los Angeles.
