It took a lot of courage for Charlie Sheen to go on "Today" and reveal to the world that he is HIV-positive, but the actor apparently has a lot more he wants people to know about his wild journey over the past several years. The 50-year-old plans to write a memoir in wake of his big health announcement, according to Us Weekly. His manager, Mark Burg, said Sheen has been "buried with offers" from publishers who want him to share his story.

Burg has been meeting with several of these publishers to discuss the memoir, which would detail his long career and HIV diagnosis, according to "Entertainment Tonight." As someone who has publicly struggled with substance abuse for years, and even had a very public meltdown, the autobiography will be Sheen's way of moving forward now that this major weight has been lifted off his shoulders.

"I have to put a stop to this barrage of attacks and sub-truths and very harmful, mercurial stories that are about me that are threatening the health of so many others," said Sheen during his "Today" interview Tuesday. "I think I released myself from this prison today."

Sheen's book will answer all the questions people have had since his big reveal and will also, hopefully, help others who may be going through the same thing find the courage they need to share their story with the world. "And, hopefully, with what we're doing today," he continued to say during the "Today" interview, "others may come forward and say, 'Thanks Charlie. Thanks for kicking the door open."
