The Chicago Bulls have won their last two games including a revenge victory over the Charlotte Hornets who hung 130 points on them just a couple of weeks prior. The Bulls are now 6-3 and have gotten great play from Jimmy Butler and Pau Gasol but they are still waiting for the old Derrick Rose to come back. Rose's vision is still not 100 percent and it may not get there for a little while either, according to Nick Friedell of ESPN.

Rose was elbowed in the face on the first day of training camp and suffered a fractured orbital bone that he is still recovering from. Rose has not missed any regular season games because of the injury but he also has not played like he is used to this season and part of that could be because of his vision. After the opening game Rose said he was playing with one eye and although his vision has gotten better it still isn't fully right. Head coach Fred Hoiberg said it might take "as long as three months" for his vision to not be blurry anymore.

Rose says the vision affects him when he looks in a certain direction and that he has missed shots he usually makes because of it including lay-ups and floaters. This is shown in his season shooting percentages as he is only making 36 percent of his shots from the field and he is just 1-18 from beyond the arc this season (6 percent.)

Despite his early struggles Rose is still confident that he will get back into his normal form this year. Rose says this is still just the preseason for him and he is just getting warmed up.

"All of it is going to come. It's all about putting your game back together, too. It's the first time I had surgery on my face, so that's something different. The depth perception of the rim is a little bit thrown off, so I'm dealing with that. It's all going to come to me," said Rose.

Fortunately for Rose and the Bulls some of his teammates have played very well while the point guard is struggling so they still have the third best record in the Eastern Conference. The Bulls though, know that in order to reach their goals of winning the Eastern Conference they need a healthy Rose in MVP form and he thinks that is coming but the vision problems are not done just yet.
