Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is still recovering from his hamstring injury and is likely to miss Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys.  After two straight wins behind Nick Foles, one Eagles coach didn't rule out the possibility of Foles remaining the starting quarterback.

Vick sounded doubtful about playing on Sunday.  Vick, who injured his hamstring on Oct. 6 against the New York Giants, told reporters he's not quite as healthy as he wants to be before he returns.

"I feel it getting better," Vick asid on Tuesday, via ESPN.  "It's just when I try to burst, that knot is still there.  I think another week of rehab can put me in position where I can start gaining some confidence in it and doing things I normally do."

Vick called the hamstring injury a "bad pull," something he believes was caused by trying a different stretching routine before the Giants game.

Foles will get the start in Vick's absence.  After stellar performances against the Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, there is a growing debate about whether Foles should remain the starter.

After winning their season opener, Philadelphia dropped their next three games with Vick starting.  Through his first five games, including his limited time against the Giants before being injured, Vick completed 53.8 percent of his passes for 1,185 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions for a passer rating of 90.6.

Foles, by contrast, completed 67.2 percent of his passes for six touchdowns and zero interceptions for a passer rating of 127.9 in the two games he played significant time in.

More importantly, the Eagles have won two straight games with Foles under center.  Now sitting at 3-3, Eagles offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur didn't rule out the possibility of Foles permanently taking over the starting job.

"Coach Kelly will address those questions about who the quarterback is when both of them are healthy," Shurmur said, via Pro Football Talk.  "At this point, we'll go with Nick.  When Mike's healthy, we'll have that discussion."

Is Foles the future in Philadelphia?  A win against their division rivals on Sunday may go a long way in earning Foles the chance to prove it.
