A Japanese pet lifestyle company has created a wacky new treat for cats, a red wine for felines called Nyan Nyan Nouveau (“meow Nouveau”), FOX News reports.

In the midst of its popular product, Wan Wan Beer (woof woof beer), B&H Lifes has come up with a specialty beverage for kitties in response to customers asking for "a drink for my cat that we can celebrate Christmas and birthdays with!"

Although the specialty cat wine does not contain alcohol, it does have plenty of vitamins and a hint of catnip, containing juice from Cabernet Franc wine grapes, according to RocketNews24. While the makers of the new cat wine acknowledge that felines generally do not consume liquids for their taste, the company hopes that kitty enthusiasts will buy the product for their furry friends to celebrate holidays and special events.

The product is limited, however, as only one thousand bottles are being produced, and at $4 a pop, they will likely sell fast.

Japan isn't the only country to produce festive pet beverages, however. Daniel Keeton of Oregon created his own special beer blend for his dog, Lola Jane, and decided to put "Dawg Grog" on the market for fellow canine enthusiasts.

Like Wan Wan Beer and Nyan Nyan Nouveau, Dawg Grog contains no alcohol. A mix of vegetable broth, water and grain, it can be served on its own as a treat or to moisten dry dog food.
