Sheldon Cooper needs some advice and who else to help than Professor Proton a.k.a. Arthur Jeffries.

Bob Newhart will reprise his role of Arthur as his ghostly Jedi version on the Dec. 17 episode of "The Big Bang Theory," according to TVLine. He will help Sheldon (Jim Parsons) make a "very important decision" and "sort out his feelings" to reach a crucial conclusion.

It will be Newhart's fourth appearance on the CBS comedy. He first guest starred in season six for which he won his first Emmy award and then showed up twice more in season seven.

"Snowpiercer" Being Adapted for Television

"Snowpiercer," the sci-fi film starring Chris Evans and Tilda Swinton, is being adapted for television by Tomorrow Studios, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "War of the Worlds" screenwriter Josh Friedman is attached to pen the script based on the 2013 Korean movie written and directed by Bong Joon Ho.

The TV show will be based on the movie set in a post-apocalyptic Ice Age where the only survivors of a sudden climate change were those who boarded the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe.

Sara Rue Joins 'Bones'

Sara Rue will join Fox's "Bones" for a multi-episode arc starting in the fall finale on Dec. 10 and recurring during the back half of the season, according to TVGuide.com. She will play Leslie Green, a seemingly flaky but quite intelligent behavioral analyst who is assigned to work with Booth (David Boreanaz) on his latest case.

Rue recently starred in the TV Land comedy, "Impastor."

Whitney Cummings Gets Her First HBO Comedy Special

HBO will air Whitney Cummings' "I'm Your Girlfriend" stand-up special on Saturday, Jan. 23 at 10 p.m. Her show was taped at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica, Calif. and will be Cummings' first HBO stand-up comedy special.
